- On initial test drive, found torque converter clutch shuddering. Once the torque converter clutch begins shuddering, the transmission needs rebuilt and the torque converter replaced. When we rebuild these units, there are several improvements made in the transmission and we use an upgraded torque converter with a billet cover. If you decide to get your transmission rebuilt, we will refund this diagnostic charge.
